Great Laminated Map of Rome!
This laminated map of Rome was very helpful as we moved around Rome visiting all the major sites.

Accurate & easy to read map
Used this map for walking around touring Rome for 4 days. It was accurate and easy to read (even though some of the street signs in Rome are not!) This was much more useful than any hotel maps we found and we did not get lost once.

Streetwise -The handiest maps ever.
I have field tested my copy.... Getting late in the evening, raining, wind picking up, tourists are cursing their free maps fom the hotel lobby. I also have become lost and disoriented. I quickly flip out my Streetwise map and orient myself in the right direction of my hotel in an instant.

Next morning, fair weather, I check my streetwise map again to plot my days perigranatsione....I never got lost once, and found things that I did not expect to see, thanks to the lovely 3D icons on my map.

Before you say that what I am saying is all blather, lemme say this. This was my third visit to Rome in bad weather and in good. This was my best visit ever. The same also when I visited Naples using a streetwise map.

would not recommend this map
I have several other maps by this company that I really like. The size is convenient, the plastic coating keeps them from tearing on a windy or wet day. But I threw this Rome map away in frustration and just used the one free from the hotel desk instead! I found it difficult to use; I'd look up at a street sign and then struggle to find that street in the tiny print and abbreviations on the map, and the index grid system was little help.

Don't visit Rome without it!
Streetwise maps are my favorites for visiting any unfamiliar city, and the Rome edition proved to be no exception. Its laminated, heavy construction guarantees that you can fold, re-fold, and carry it in pockets, purses and bags without having it fall apart on you.

The only thing I wasn't crazy about on the Rome map was the way the Historic District was broken off from the other sections of the city...I sometimes found myself flipping back and forth between that part of the map and the other areas of the city, trying to locate where I was when traveling between them and having some difficulty. But within each district I had no trouble navigating with this map.
